Feb 20, 2017
The challenge

Thank you to the all student applicants from around the world who registered for the Valeo Innovation Challenge!

Applications have been submitted by a total of 1628 teams, coming from 80 countries and 748 universities worldwide, with 70% of the teams competing in the “best innovation” category and 30% of the teams in the “best idea for a new way to use cars” category.

For the first time, professors and students can team up. In all, 162 have joined the adventure this year.

The next step?

The semi-finalists selection by 70 Valeo experts

As from today, 70 Valeo experts – as well as a number of independent scientists – will evaluate the projects to select the 24 teams that will receive €5,000 to develop their idea by building a functional prototype, application or other solution in the “Prototyping” phase.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the 24 shortlisted team on March 24, 2017!
